CAN I BORROW $25?

A woman came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find her 5-year old son waiting for her at the door.

SON: 'Mummy, may I ask you a question?'
MUM: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the woman.
SON: 'Mummy, how much do you make an hour?'
MUM: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the woman said angrily.
SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'
MUM: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'
SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.
SON: 'Mummy, may I please borrow $25?'

The mother was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yurself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.'
The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. . .
The woman sat down and started to get evn angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?
After about an hour or so, the woman had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25 and she really didn't ask for money very often. The woman went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.
'Are you asleep, son?' She asked.
'No Mummy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.
'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the woman. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for.'
The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank yu Mummy!' he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.
The woman saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.
The little boy slowly counted his money and then looked up at his mother.
'Why do yu want more money if yu already have some?' the mother grumbled.
'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.
'Mummy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'
The mother was crushed. She put his arms around her little son, and she begged for his forgiveness.

This is just a short reminder to all of yu working so hard in life. We should not let time slip throug our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.
Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.
If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

LAFF IT OFF. . .

(This Happened Many Years Ago, Enjoy).
Late in 1994, an 87 year old man died in a village close to Amai, Kwale, Delta State.
The late man's grandson, Ufiaka, who was 26 years old and fairly educated, was given some money and asked to travel to Agbor to buy a fine casket for his grandpa's burial.
Ufiaka left base early and arrived Agbor in good time to purchase the casket and make the return journey same day. He was fortunate to get an open back white coloured Peugeot 404 pickup heading for Amai.
He, however, had to ride in the back of the pickup with the casket because 2 market women traveling to Amai were already seated in front with the driver.
On the journey home, they ran into a heavy rain storm close to Uronigbe and Ufiaka quickly opened the casket, laid himself nicely in the well padded interior, covered the lid and used the folded newspaper he had with him to leave a small opening between the lid and the main body of the white casket to ensure adequate ventilation.
The interior of the casket was very comfortable and Ufiaka soon fell into a very deep sleep.
The rain had subsided at the time the pickup van arrived at Umutu and during a brief stop there, 2 men travelling to Amai boarded the vehicle at the back and the same happened at Obiaruku where a man and a woman travelling also to Amai entered the vehicle.
All this while, Ufiaka was enjoying his beautiful sleep inside the Casket completely unaware of the new passengers who boarded at Umutu and Obiaruku.
The pickup van arrived Amai just after 5pm and the driver, who was now very hungry, stopped in front of a busy buka to have a quick bite before proceeding on to the next village.
The sudden stoppage and reviving of the pickup's engine woke Ufiaka who then opened the lid of the casket and rose up.
Trouble then started!
The passengers in the back of the pickup jumped out of the vehicle from various points and took to their heels in various directions.
The people eating in the buka including the owner and her service girls who saw the white casket open, and a "ghost" step out, ran off all over the place, some with balls of eba and akpu in their hands.
Ufiaka, seeing people running 'helter skelter' was convinced that armed robbers were operating and decided to take-off in the direction 3 of the passengers including the woman were running.
When the 3 passengers realised that Ufiaka was running towards them, they increased their speed and shouted "ghost! ghost!"ghost! and, to further worsen the situation, Ufiaka was dressed in white up and down with white shoes to match that day.
With the shouting of 'ghost', other people in their homes came out to see what was going on and on seeing people running at high speed all over, they joined in the race for their dear life and the number just swelled.
The driver and the 2 market women were the only people who knew what was going on and they had a hell of a time calming the people down and explaining that he merely needed shelter, while it was raining.

Potatoes, Eggs, And Coffee Beans. . . Which Are You?

‎within us.jpg (115.9 KB)
Once upon a time a daughter complained to her father that her life was miserable and that she didn't know how she was going to make it. She was tired of fighting and struggling all the time. It seemed just as one problem was solved, another one soon followed.
Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Once the three pots began to boil, he placed potatoes in one pot, eggs in the second pot, and ground coffee beans in the third pot.
He then let them sit and boil, without saying a word to his daughter. The daughter, moaned and impatiently waited, wondering what he was doing.
After twenty minutes he turned off the burners. He took the potatoes out of the pot and placed them in a bowl. He pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl.
He then ladled the coffee out and placed it in a cup. Turning to her he asked. "Daughter, what do you see?"
"Potatoes, eggs, and coffee," she hastily replied.
"Look closer," he said, "and touch the potatoes." She did and noted that they were soft. He then asked her to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg. Finally, he asked her to sip the coffee. Its rich aroma brought a smile to her face.
"Father, what does this mean?" she asked.
He then explained that the potatoes, the eggs and coffee beans had each faced the same adversity– the boiling water.
However, each one reacted differently.
The potato went in strong, hard, and unrelenting, but in boiling water, it became soft and weak.
The egg was fragile, with the thin outer shell protecting its liquid interior until it was put in the boiling water. Then the inside of the egg became
hard.
However, the ground coffee beans were unique. After they were exposed to the boiling water, they changed the water and created something new.
"Which are you," he asked his daughter. "When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a potato, an egg, or a coffee bean? "
Moral:
In life, things happen around us, things happen to us, but the only thing that truly matters is what happens within us.

Which one are you?

I’m Ready To Expose Sponsors Of Boko Haram – Adamawa Clairvoyant

A popular clairvoyant in Adamawa State, Alhaji Alhassan Mohammed Goni, a.k.a. AMG, has threatened to expose the sponsors of Boko Haram insurgency if the group does not suspend the current bloodletting and hostilities in the country within two weeks.
The spiritualist expressed sympathy for President Goodluck Jonathan, saying the president is a good man and those that are targeting his administration will fail woefully.
He said having been disturbed by the bloodletting and seemingly inexorable hostilities by the group, he deemed it fit to come forward, and warned that if those behind Boko Haram fail to change their ways, he will soon expose them.
Goni added that among those sponsoring Boko Haram activities are top politicians and traditional rulers with the sole aim of causing confusion in the country.
He said he was aware of the various nocturnal meetings held by the sect before launching attacks but was not able to curtail their attacks as he had not been permitted to do so.
“My vision always tells me whenever the Boko Haram are about to launch attacks but I was always incapacitated to stop them because I was not given express permission by the authorities to do so; but through my intervention, the intensity of the attacks is minimal”, he said.
Goni said though the present administration is facing security challenges, the president will weather the storm because he means well for the country.
He condemned the recent bombing in Abuja and urged government to take more security measures like mounting of CCTV cameras.
He called for the probe of the Chinese company handling the installation of CCTV cameras in Abuja, adding that the contract should be revoked and handed over to a more competent company.
Goni also called for more attention to agriculture as a major source of employment opportunity and the need for local government autonomy to fast track grassroots empowerment.
“Government should also look at ways of giving employment to civilian JTF in the armed forces, police and other para military organizations so that they can continue to actively contribute their quota in protecting their father land”, Goni said

Police Debunk Social Media Rumors, Say "No Boko Haram Attack on Lagos- Ibadan Road

The Ogun State Police Command has said there was no Boko Haram attack on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
This is contained in a statement by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, who said the said attack were rumours making the rounds particularly on social media, and that no police officers or civilians had been killed along the road.
He said, “There is no iota of truth in it, and it is just a rumour making the rounds on social media.
“Nothing of such attack has happened along the
expressway, or any part of Ogun State.
“It is the handiwork of mischief makers to put fear in the minds of people.”
Explaining further he said, “The rumour-mongers misunderstood the presence of police and other security officers at a point on the expressway, where a truck, loaded with wheat, fell across the road between Fidiwo and Ogunmakin in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of state.
“They thought the presence of security officers was as a result of an attack.”
He urged the general public to disregard the rumour and go about their lawful businesses.

Don’t Antagonize Northerners Against Jonathan - Abubakar Dangiwa Umar To Murtala Nyako

On Tuesday, April 22, ex-Governor of Kaduna State, Colonel Abubakar Dangiwa Umar (rtd), stated that Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, istrying to turn the northern people against President Goodluck Jonathan because he allegedly encourages genocide in Nigeria.
Former military Governor of Kaduna underlined that Nyako's statement can be interpreted as an indirect way of inciting northerners against the government. "These are comments that should not come from leaders who want the nation to progress and move forward," he stated.
Colonel Abubakar Dangiwa Umar (rtd) also said that Governor Nyako should be aware of the weighty nature of his statement where he accused President Jonathan and his administration in being responsible for spreading genocide in the north.
Umar expressed the hope that people like him (Nyako)wouldn't put the nation on fire.
Umar also urged Governor Nyako and other North-East governors to channel all grievances over the current insecurity in their domain through the appropriate channels rather than embarking on anything that would worsen the security problem the country is facing today.

Why President Obama Will Not Visit Nigeria

Barack Hussein Obama is not only the leader of the most powerful nation on Earth, but he is the celebrated black president of the United States.
Love him or not, he is at a pinnacle for the black race on the Earth today.
However, the black president of America has thus far refused to visit the biggest black nation in the world and by all projection, will not do so till he completes his second term as U.S. president if things remain the same with Nigeria. Why will Obama not visit Nigeria? Here are some of the reasons:
The Nigerian government is a bunch of bandits.
The military leadership of the nation aids and abets
terrorists.
The military leadership of Nigeria lies that it has freed captive girls. Repeat: The military leadership of Nigeria lies that it has freed captive girls.
Nigeria's military chiefs, ministry of defense and heads of state security lead the deliberate massacre of innocent civilians and soldiers.
Abuja, the nation's capital is the residence of thieves and hideout of terror sponsors.
Abacha, a dictator, killer and treasury looter is honored in Nigeria.
Al Mustapha, M.K.O. Abiola's wife's murderer and an Abacha marksmen team leader is freed.
Bayelsa, the home state of Nigeria's president is the most toxic piece of land on planet earth with 40 oil spills recorded every month.
Nigeria pollutes the sea more than any oil producing
nation on earth.
Nigeria today does not arrest sponsors of terror whose money now finances Al Shabaab and Al Qaeda.
There are more kidnappings in Nigeria than any nation.
Nigeria currently hosts the most dangerous high sea
piracy events on the planet.
Nigeria this 2014 has succeeded in scoring the highest number and worst cases of death and violence from terror than any nation on earth.
Nigeria's youth are the most deprived on the planet,
considering the nation's immense wealth.
Nigeria's government steals from almajiri (beggars), the youth and unemployed to give to the government bloated thieves and Cabal.
Nigeria is the only nation on earth that rather than
developing is regressing.
$20-127 billion dollars, oil revenue has been stolen by Nigeria's government officials and their partner, billionaire Cabal. #WhereIsOurMoney?
Nigeria's fourth republic civilian regimes are worse than its military dictator regimes.
Nigeria has an oil goddess, Diezani Allison-Madueke.
Nigeria has achieved the highest level of government
corruption ever recorded in the history of planet earth.
And finally:
Not only is Nigeria's government clueless, and recklessly hopeless, but so are its people also recognized to be for permitting such a Cabal regime and system to remain in power.
There have been civilians like Gandhi and soldiers like Rawlings who have walked their nations out of the mess, but of its 168 million victims of the treacherous, lootocratic fourth republic, Nigeria does not have a single civilian or soldier, talk less thousands willing and able to deliver its children, elders and most helpless.
This is why president Obama does not only not visit, but does not even talk of or remember Nigeria, a nation in a new dark age.

I’m Now In Abuja, Catch Me If You Can – Shekau Dares Security Agencies

If the recent video released by leader of the Boko Haram terrorist group, Abubakar Shekau yesterday, in which he claimed responsibility for Monday morning’s bombing in Nyanya, that resulted in the death of over 71 persons, is anything to go by, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and indeed other parts of Nigeria may be under threat following Shekau’s boast that he is in the nation’s capital and has dared the security agencies to catch him if they can.
He said the Nyanya bombing and many others carried out by his group were in retaliation for all the killing of Muslims in Nigeria and other parts of the world.
In the 28-minute video, Shekau appeared dressed in
military camouflage, a black turban and with an AK-47 rifle slung across his chest. He was holding a thick chewing stick in his right hand with a spiral-bound notepaper in his left.
He began his speech by pointing the chewing stick and mentioning the name of President Goodluck Jonathan three times before saying, “You are just too small”.
Shekau said, “We are the ones who carried out the
bombing in Abuja in an area called Nyanya.

 [President]
Jonathan you are a lame duck. Jonathan, you are too
small for us”.
In the video, which he switched between Arabic and
Hausa language, Shekau queried why the president was mute when Muslims around the world and in Nigeria were killed and dared him to find his location, saying he was right within the FCT.
The video ended with footage of the destruction at the scene of the recent Nyanya explosion.
“You (Jonathan) should know that we are worshipping God, that is why we are always victorious in all our attacks; if you are that wise and knowledgeable, why is it still very difficult for you to locate where we are up till date despite the fact that we are within Nigeria. Look at us, we are right within your city (Abuja), and you don’t even know how to find us. Let me tell you now; I am here, very close to you; I dare you to get me, if you can”, said Shekau.

PSquare Break Up – Peter Okoye Calls In Lawyer To Share Property, Moves Out Of Family House

The drama coming out of the PSquare household is getting really serious. Yesterday, Jude shared a tweet that sparked fears that all is not well with Africa’s beloved singing duo. Today, a source very close to the artiste has revealed that not only are the twins fighting, Peter Okoye wants out of P-Square and they
have even gone as far as inviting a lawyer to divide their fortune. As of right now, Peter Okoye doesn’t want anything to do with P-Square. He has moved out of Squareville mansion in Omole where he lived with his brothers for years and now lives in Lekki Phase 1 with his wife Lola Omotayo and their children.
Here’s what the source, an industry person who knows what’s been going on, said: “Yes they fought this week. Peter even left a mark on Paul’s left eye.
But the fight wasn’t during rehearsal, which rehearsal? Peter has refused to do anything P-Square for weeks now. Forget that he was at his brother’s wedding, things are not good between them right now. They were even invited to perform at president Jonathan’s wedding but they didn’t go.
Peter wants out. He said Paul and Jude are sidelining him. That if they push out 200 songs, 199 would be songs Paul did. That people are now calling him a dancer in P-Square. Peter is really angry. He’s even the cool and friendly one between the brothers but he is not himself right now. And then he accused his brother Jude of disrespecting his wife. Peter and Jude haven’t spoken in weeks. Peter said Jude has been
disrespecting Lola for years and he was done
tolerating the BS. In fact Peter said that not only is Lola older than Jude, but that she’s also pregnant and Jude was upsetting a pregnant woman. If you notice Jude didn’t attend their wedding last year despite the fact that he was in Nigeria. Jude asked Peter why he didn’t marry Lola when their mother was alive. Jude said it’s his wife that is pushing him and they will need to pray for him. In fact nobody in the Okoye family likes Lola and they didn’t support the marriage.
The brothers are really angry at each other. The police is even involved. This week, either the commissioner of police or someone from his office visited their house.
The worst part is that they have invited lawyer to
come and share property o. They want to share
everything. The lawyer was at their house I think
on Thursday. Peter said no more P-Square joint
ventures. You know they own everything together, including a house inOmole, Parkview and Atlanta. Except something is done fast P-Square is about to be finished. But I know that people have been intervening and begging them to reconsider, that they are the biggest musical duo in Africa. Nobody will benefit if they split. The power tomake money is in their togetherness.
It is Jude people are begging to keep the brothers
together, but after what he tweeted yesterday, it may truly be over for P-Square. Jude has really tried for his brothers, for him to give up may mean it’s over for them. He practically put his entire life on hold for his brothers. Even sold his first car to shoot their first video but all that is about go come to an end like he tweeted. The only thing that can save the situation is if by a miracle Jude and Lola settle their differences but I don’t see that happening.

UNDERSTANDING MENOPAUSE

MENOPAUSE is the normal aspect of aging for a woman. In the last two decades, the term has also been frequently used with regards to men.

More commonly, it is used to describe the period when the ovaries gradually begin to produce less eggs and also reduced levels of the female hormones called progesterone and oestrogen. This change in pattern of production is profound enough to cause many psychological and physical changes in many women.

In general, menopause in a woman is regarded as complete if she has not had a normal period for one full year. The term is often referred to as a change in life and usually occurs during a 10-year period from 45 to 55 years. When it occurs at an age below 40 years, it is regarded as premature. More technically, this may be termed as an ovulatory failure and the decision whether or not to seek treatment is then dependent on the severity of the patient’s symptoms.

At birth, the ovaries have in stock the entire supply of eggs for the woman’s lifetime. It is predetermined. They are thus stored in small follicles. During the period of puberty, when the individual develops secondary sexual characteristics, hormones released by the pituitary gland at the floor of the brain stimulate the ovaries to begin to release those eggs each month. This process is called ovulation and it activates the release of oestrogen and progesterone by the ovaries. In turn, these chemical messengers stimulate the internal lining of the uterus, the endometrium, to thicken and increase in size in preparation for the implantation of a fertilised egg. When no egg is fertilised, the entire lining of the endometrium is shed in a process called menstruation. This is the monthly period as we know it.

As a woman gets older, the total number of those follicles in the ovaries reduces and the ovaries also then produce diminished amounts of the hormones. Menopause then occurs when the ovaries fail to produce enough of these hormones to stimulate the monthly growth of the uterus.

Menstruation could stop permanently. However, the period in which the first symptoms appear to when the menstruation ceases finally may range from a few months to several years and this time frame is referred to medically as the climacteric. It is also called the pre-menopause.

Menopause is of three types namely:

1) Natural menopause:  This is said to occur when the circulating levels of both oestrogen and progesterone decline naturally to the point at which they are no longer able to stimulate menstruation.

2) Premature menopause: This is described as that period which ends before the age of 40 years. This is as a result of several factors, including medical conditions like diseases of the thyroid gland or diabetes mellitus. Certain operations or medications that adversely affect the blood supply to the ovaries can also cause this, just as the habit of cigarette smoking could also be a factor. Sometimes, there is no other problem other than the fact that it runs in certain families. Finally, sometimes, there may be no identifiable cause and the option available is to try and treat the problem.

3) Artificial menopause: This refers to the sudden drop in the level of the hormones as a result of an operation performed to remove them or due to the effects of chemotherapy in cancer treatment. The symptoms of menopause in this category begin suddenly and the effects are usually more severe.

The first noticeable change in an impending menopause is a change in the pattern of the monthly menstrual flow. The flow may become lighter or heavier. They may also become longer or shorter and the time interval between periods may also become longer, with some occasional missed periods occurring. These changes may be very sudden in some women and more gradual in others. There is a wide variety of possible changes in the average menopausal woman. Some are mild changes while others are very profound, sometimes requiring treatment. These symptoms may last only a few months or several years. The average period of time in which these symptoms are experienced range from three to five years. Some of the symptoms of menopause are as follows:

1) Hot flushes which occurs in about 60 per cent of woman.

2) Sweats occurring, especially at night.

3) Tiredness.

4) Headaches.

5) Bone and joint pains.

6) Palpitations.

7) Abnormal skin sensations.

8) Excessively dry skin.

9) Dryness of the vagina.

10) Urinary incontinence with occasional urinary tract infection and genital tract infection may also occur with more frequency.

Some of the signs of menopause are as follows:

1) Unexplained anxiety.

2) Difficulty with concentration on anything.

3) Diminished interest in sex.

4) Loss of confidence.

5) Mood swings and irritability.

6) Depression.

7) Increased forgetfulness.

8) Difficulty with sleeping.

There is no singular test that can diagnose the menopause. However, the diagnosis is usually made retrospectively when the periods have finally stopped. After a year of complete absence of menstruation, tests that could confirm that menopause has occurred are blood tests conducted to assay the level of the Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and Leutenising Hormone (LH). The levels are usually very high and would be diagnostic of this status.

Treatment for this condition especially in our society is not particularly sought after by many women. However, the problems associated with this segment of life can be very disruptive. If symptoms are problematic, a woman is at great risk of developing osteoporosis and heart disease. Osteoporosis makes such women prone to sustaining fractures from trivial injuries, thus necessitating treatment. It is the same for those at risk of heart disease. In the end though, the decision to take treatment or not must be made by the woman after considering the advice of her doctor.

WE'LL WIN THE WAR AGAINST BREAKUPS AND TERRORISM - PRESIDEN JONATHAN

As Nigerians join the rest of the world to mark this year’s Easter celebration, President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed optimism that the country would win its war against terrorism.
The president in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati said his government was committed to a peaceful and united
Nigeria.
According to him, “In spite of the evil machinations of terrorists, criminals and their collaborators, our administration remains ardently focused on efforts to successfully execute the Federal Government’s Agenda for National Transformation and achieve sustained development.”
“My belief in our ability to overcome all retrogressive and divisive forces in our midst and build a strong, united and prosperous nation by
turning our unique diversity into a source of strength remains unshaken and we will continue to work with all interest groups and stakeholders in the country to achieve the peaceful, secure and politically stable conditions essential for rapid socio-economic development,” the President added in his message.
“But we cannot afford to rest on our oars. Much
remains to be done and we will continue to count on
the patriotic support of all Nigerians as we strive to
achieve more inclusive economic growth, generate
more national wealth and create more employment
opportunities to meet the demands of our
increasingly youthful population.”
The president, while lauding the leadership and
delegates to the ongoing National Conference, said,
“the vast majority of them have shown a patriotic
and praiseworthy commitment to national unity,
peace and progress built on justice, fairness and
equity for all component parts of the country.”
The President further disclosed that, “As the
Conference breaks into committees to continue its
deliberations, it remains our hope and expectation
that the end result will be meaningful and enduring
contributions towards strengthening national unity
and fulfilling our collective desire for a better and
greater nation.”
The President further extended his heartfelt
sympathy to all the families who lost loved relatives
in recent terrorist attacks.
“Our armed forces and security agencies will
continue to do their very best to curb such attacks
and restore full security to all parts of our beloved
country.” He added.

SOME LIES MEN TELL WOMEN

The average dude fabricates something six times a day-that's twice as often as women (Hmmmm, inneressing )-and with #LiesMenTellWomen trending on Twitter right now, some dudes are being called out. To try to get why guys are so crafty, we reached out to male relationship experts.

Here are the most common whoppers men tell their girlfriends and wives-and what the real deal is behind each.

Lie #10: "I'm Stuck in Traffic"
"He figures it's much easier to just say this than to try to explain the real reason he's running late," says John Amodeo, author of The Authentic Heart. "Remember, men aren't as good at communicating as women are." The funny thing is, a guy will toss this line out even if what held him up is perfectly
legitimate. Still, you shouldn't let it slide - it's a lie
nonetheless.
Lie #9: "It Wasn't That Expensive"
"Men like toys, and they don't like sensing your disapproval, even if you don't share a bank account," Amodeo says. He could also be dropping this fib to try to prove he's responsible with money, says Barton Goldsmith, author of Emotional Fitness for Intimacy. "He doesn't want you to think that if you do share funds down the line, he's going to blow them all on
things like plasma TVs."
Lie #8: "I'm on My Way"
Guys usually throw you this line when you're making them meet you at some event they don't want to attend - like, say, your family reunion. He's stalling, but he's also being pouty.
Consider: He can't exactly refuse to go without enduring serious repercussions from you, and he can't very well throw a temper tantrum in front of your pop-pop. So saying this and then showing up late is his way of gaining a wee amount of control.
Lie #7:"I Didn't Have Too Much to Drink"
This lie could point to a serious problem - and we're not just talking about your relationship. If he says it often he could have an alcohol issue, Goldsmith says. You need to talk to him about how concerned you are, but watch the timing. "That's definitely a conversation you need to have when he's sober," Amodeo adds.
Lie #6: "Sorry, I Missed Your Call,"
Lie #5: "My Battery Died," and
Lie #4: "I Had No Signal"
These three lines all mean the same thing: I screened your call. Why?
"Often men will feed you these lies because they're
afraid to tell you to back off a bit, that they need a little alone time," Amodeo says.
You might want to ease up on the checking in and let him miss you more.
Lie #3: "No, Your Butt Doesn't Look Big in That"
Look, if you assail him with the question in the first place, you're really just asking to be thrown this all-purpose mollifier.
"Every guy has a buddy who's told him, 'I answered this question wrong once, and my girlfriend wouldn't Be Intimate with me for a year,' " Goldsmith says. This is the one safe response he knows, so there's no way he's going to risk the worst by straying from it. If you want an honest opinion, go ask one of your girls instead.
Lie #2:"This Will Be My Last Beer"
Our experts say this man-lie delivered over the phone means he wants to get you off ASAP so he can spend more time with his buddies. The thing is, even if he says it three times in a night, each time he believes it, Goldsmith says. It's like when you vow this will be your last cookie…five times in a row.
Lie #1: "Nothing's Wrong, I'm Fine"
A whopping 52 percent of men have told their girlfriend this line. According to experts, this go-to fib is all about avoiding drama and protecting male pride. Men know they're not as good with articulating what's happening or how they're feeling, so it's easier for them to just keep you out of the situation.
Next time he uses this line, give him a couple days and then ask him again if he is still bummed…and why. By then he may have figured things out.

PRESIDENT JONATHAN: HE SWORE AN OATH TO DEFEND NIGERIA, WHY IS HE DANCING AS NIGERIA BURNS

In the days after a series of bomb explosions at Nyanya motor park in Abuja killed at least 200 and maimed many more, President Goodluck Jonathan has hit the road, dancing at campaign rallies.
This latest example of callous indifference by the president has left many Nigerians shocked and indignant, with Mr. Jonathan facing sharp criticism in the Nigerian print and social media.
The president’s mindless campaigning in the hours after a savage attack that traumatized Nigerians is compounded by reports of the abduction of close to 200 school girls by Boko Haram terrorists. Earlier, the Nigerian army had claimed that the girls had been rescued. The principal of the girls’ school that was raided by Boko Haram militants has denied that claim.
A special investigative report by SaharaReporters has exposed the unpreparedness of the Nigerian soldiers assigned the dire task of combating members of the increasingly more daring and reportedly better-armed Boko Haram. Our report also indicated that the soldiers live in wretched condition, with their morale
running low even as their commanding officers reportedly pocket a sizeable chunk of the funds for security operations.
It is shocking that a president who spent billions of naira and encouraged other public officials to squander billions more on his daughter’s wedding is not willing to ensure that the soldiers who fight and die to keep him, his family and other Nigerians safe are taken care of.
Mr. Jonathan should stop all campaign activities for a while and focus on ways of securing the lives and property of all Nigerians.
In the past, the president has blamed highly placed Nigerians for sponsoring the climate of violence and terror in Nigeria, including Boko Haram. It is not enough to level that allegation against nameless perpetrators. If Mr. Jonathan has sound information that specific and identifiable Nigerians are behind the cruel massacre of their fellows, he has a duty to order the arrest of these sponsors, however exalted their position in society. He swore an oath to defend Nigerians, and that is a responsibility he can no
longer shirk.
The first step, for goodness sake, is to cease this thoughtless owambe-ing. The president must be sensitive to the plight of the Nigerians who lose their lives to terrorist attacks, as well as their bereaved relatives and friends.
Leadership is not about dancing, Mr. Jonathan. This is time for sober reflection and serious work.

P-SQUARE FOUGHT EACH OTHER, JUDE OKOYE DONE WITH BROTHERS

Rumour has it that Peter and Paul Okoye of P-Square are having issues for a while now. An insider said they have been disagreeing virtually over everything, songs, videos, ideas, dance steps, etc...

On Wednesday April 16th, reports gathered exclusively from industry sources that the brothers fought each other physically during rehearsals. They had to be separated by their dancers.
But now the shocker!!! Their older brother, Jude Okoye, who is also their manager, just tweeted that after ten years he's done.
And I hear one of the wives is the mastermind behind some of the problems between the brothers. *sigh* I'm short of words my dears.
